Another medal for India in Commonwealth 2018
Om Mitharwal, an Indian shooter won a medal in Commonwealth 2018 for the country. In an event of 50-meter pistol shooting men’s event, he won a bronze medal. Mitherwal made a total score of 201.1 while the person who won gold in the event, Daniel Repacholi, an Australian shooter made 227.2 score. With his score in Commonwaelth Games 2018 Repacholi created a new Commonwealth Games record. A Bangladeshi shooter won silver in the event with a score of 220.5.
Both Om Mitharwal and Jitu Rai qualified for the final of the men’s 50 metre Pistol event at the 21st Commonwealth Games. unfortunately the other Indian, Jitu Rai, defending champion had an unfortunate outing. Finishing at bottom of the eight-man final Rai couldn’t make it a winning event for him.
In qualification stage Om Mitharwal topped the stage with 549 points. While Daniel Repacholi stand second in the qualification stage. Jitu Rai ranked sixth in the qualification stage with a score 542.
