Canonical will Re-Release Ubuntu 17.10 on January 11
Ubuntu 17.10 was officially released on 19th of October 2017. It was the most awaited version of Ubuntu. The codename for Ubuntu 17.10 is Artful Aardvark. It was the first version since 2011 to not ship with the Unity desktop by default. It was using GNOME as the default desktop environment. The release could not be much of a success as there was a bug in Artful Aardvark. This bug would not let some of the Artful Aardvark users to boot their computer at all.
Amongst all Lenovo laptops were affected most by the bug the most followed by Acer and Dell. The bug could corrupt the BIOS of the laptop making it impossible for the users to make changes or to save some settings and in some cases, users were unable to boot their system at all.
Due to these issues faced by some users, Canonical pulled Artful Aardvark downloads from the official website. Canonical will release a fixed version of Artful Aardvark and it will be available for download on January 11
